Although one doesn't needs to register to see the images but if you're a registered user you get higher upload limit of 10mb for each image with alot more file formats available for uploading. Also you may create your album and sub-albums to store and share your photos online so you don't have to store your hundreds and thousands of images in your pc which saves you a lot of space. You may upload your images as public or as private as well as you get an option to keep your album as private or available to public which ensures your complete privacy.
